Description
4-H is the youth educational program of the Penn State Cooperative Extension. The 4-H program is for youth between the ages of 8 to 18 years of age and welcome adults as volunteer project leaders. 4-H is an informal, educational, character and skills-building youth program. The 4-H program is designed to provide a variety of educational projects and activities to encourage the development of self-esteem and a sense of responsibility. There are over 200 4-H projects available from the Extension Office, such as photography, pet care, clothing, foods & nutrition, leadership, vegetable gardening, livestock, and rocketry.
