Description
The Iowa 4-H Foundation's mission is to provide financial resources for youth development through 4-H.
The Foundation funds opportunities for Iowa 127,000 4-H members and participants, supporting over 100 college scholarships, funding Pioneer Hy-Bred Seed Grants for community service projects, Ag & Land Stewardship Grants from the Iowa Department of Ag & Land Stewardship, and the Hills Bank & Trust Leadership Academy. The Foundation also supports leader training for over 12,000 4-H volunteers, and is workign to identify and engage over 200,000 Iowa 4-H Alumni. It owns and operates the Iowa 4-H Center with camping facilities that include a high ropes challenge course, climbing tower, athletic fields, and pool, cabins to sleep up over 300 youth, and 14 miles of trail on 11,000 acres along the Des Moines River.
