Description
The Clinton County 4-H & Youth Development Program provides informal educational and recreational programs for youth between the ages of 5 and 18. Youth are matched with volunteer adult leaders with skills and experiences in particular project areas. They work with youth to help them learn new skills in area of special interest. There are over 75 project areas to choose from including animal care, horses, sewing, computers, painting and drawing, photography, arts and crafts, cooking, conservation, creative writing and so much for. Equally important are the life skills that youth gain working with these adult mentors. They learn communication skills, social skills, teamwork, cooperation, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, leadership and more. 4-H'ers have opportunities to explore careers, travel, participate in community service activities and more.
