Description
PACE is a gender responsive, alternative educational program that provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. PACE mission is designed as an effective method to meet the needs of the adolescent at-risk female, reducing risky behaviors, increasing school success, improving lifestyle choices, enhancing family relationships and avoiding juvenile justice involvement.
Since its inception in 1985, PACE Center for Girls, Inc. has played a critical role in promoting gender responsive programming, influencing juvenile justice policy and changing the lives of over 21,000 at risk girls. The Federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention considers PACE a "best practice model" nationally.
