The American Littoral Society promotes the study and conservation of marine life and habitat, defends the coast from harm, and empowers others to do the same. Since 1961 we have advanced our mission through advocacy, education, and conservation. Headquartered on Sandy Hook in Highlands, New Jersey, we have nearly 6,000 members in 47 states served by chapters in the Northeast (Broad Channel, New York), Mid-Atlantic (Highlands, NJ), and the Southeast (Sarasota, Florida).
