About Hartstrings
Hartstrings, LLC is a privately held company, headquartered in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We were founded in 1979 in the home of Ms. Peggy Hart Earle. Armed with a design background and the desire to work on her own, Peggy personally sold her first 5 piece girls clothing line to area retailers willing to look at her samples.
By 1985, with the success of her girls clothing line sizes 2T-14, Peggy realized there was a gap in the apparel market for boys clothing that was of the same quality and design as her classic girls clothing. In the fall of 1986 Harstrings launched their first boys’ clothing line in sizes 2T-7. Followed by Hartstrings baby clothing sizes 3 – 24 months in 1992.
As the success of the company grew so did the designs. In 1997 kc parker, a girls’ clothing line sizes 7-16 launched. The kc parker line is the fusion of classic prep and updated fashion elements for today’s girl while still keeping in mind quality and age-appropriateness. This makes kc parker a stand out in the tween markets.
In 2009, Hartstrings partnered with Tori Spelling to develop their newest line called little maven by Tori Spelling. This line is the combination of Hollywood chic and seaside casual and features fun, young and incredibly versatile designs. It is a truly chic and iconic line.
Today Hartstrings operates 28 retail locations across the United States, an ecommerce business under www.hartstrings.com and www.littlemaven.com as well a wholesale business in select department stores and high-end specialty stores. All the while holding firm to our original commitment to “Celebrating the Gift of Children.”
